Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) involves the partial or total removal of external female genitalia or other injury to the female genital organs for non-medical reasons (WHO)

FGM is a major form of gender-based violence (GBV) that should be frowned upon.

FGM often results in serious health complications, comprising infections, chronic pain, infertility, and sometimes death.

It often subjects the girl child to future torture and regret.
